The Ron McKechnie Prize is awarded in the fond memory of one of the founding
members of the New Directions in the Study of Alcohol Group.

2018 COMPETITION IS OPEN FOR ENTRIES
To enter, simply submit a paper on a theme relevant to New Directions or our next conference and
suitable for publication in the New Directions Journal.
The winning author will be awarded a bursary for free attendance at our annual Conference in June
2018 - this will be in Sheffield. This prize includes registration and accommodation as will be
specified in our full booking form, but excludes any travel costs.
This competition is open to members and non-members.
Papers should be original work, and not have been previously published. NDSAG exerts no
ownership on your work, even if it appeared in our journal.
Submissions should be up to 5000 words in length and fully referenced. Your paper should be
submitted as word document via email attachment, including your contact details within the paper
to: contacts@ndsag.org
